Should the provincial tax credit for your donation exceed your provincial tax payable, the difference is payable to you.  (In other words, if your return says you owe $50 in provincial tax, and you donated $200, your donation’s tax credit would be $150, meaning that you would get a provincial tax refund of $100.)

New Democrat campaigns don’t benefit from the resources provided by large corporate and wealthy individual donors. Our success comes from people like you, supporting us with any time, money, or lawn space you can spare.

Tax credits also make donating easier, with 75% of the first $372 you donate coming back to you. (More information.) With just six months until tax season, your donation will help make a winning campaign, and you’ll get most of your money back soon after!

Donations, while critical to a successful campaign, are not the only contributions needed.
